Handstands and cartwheels and walkovers, again! Join us for round 2 of Jagged’s handstand series, facilitated by our very own gymnasts-turned-aerialists Jen Carr and Talisa Tuman. In this series, you can:

  • Conquer your fears of being upside-down (we’ll teach you how to bail safely!)

  • Build endurance, strength, and control (on and off the wall!)

  • Create cool shapes (on your hands, head, arms, and even on canes!)

  • Take your skills even further, whether you're a beginner or advanced!

We’ll cater to all levels and get you closer to your handstand goals so even if you missed round 1, not to worry! We got you. And yes, we have a tumble track ;)

Sundays 2/9, 2/25, 3/2, 3/9 (off 2/16)

- For absolute beginners!

- Wheels provided. You are welcome to bring your own if you have one

- Limited spots available small group only

Get to know this rare apparatus from the ground up exploring:

- Wheel manipulations

- Spinning fundamentals

- Circular motion in relation to the wheel

Vs. a one time workshop, with a four week series we will be able to delve into these ideas, build, and drill down with regular meets to get you friendly with this new medium and track your progress over time.

Description

90 min. The focus of this class will be to introduce and improve transitions. Transitions are necessary for building any sequence. Smooth transitions can help elevate all your aerial poses and sequences. We will work on mounts, rolls, climbs, and just about any other way you can move in and around the hoop. Students can expect to learn versatile transitions to add to their existing practice.

⭐️ Pre-Requisites - Comfortable with inversions (bent or straight arm) - Comfortable with basic bar positions (back/front balance, knee hangs) - Good level of awareness in the air to make safe choices for their own bodies

Description

90 min. As expected, spins are in the spotlight. Spins are an integral part of any aerial hoop artist’s repertoire. They can also be difficult to generate and maintain. We will work on applying the principles of spinning, from basic to advanced. This class is great for any spinner of any level, it is self-paced as every aerialist has a different relationship to spinning.
