What Should I wear?
Attire
Pole - NO OILS, LOTIONS, OR JEWELRY. Booty shorts are best so that you can have optimum leg grip. Anything on top is acceptable, layers are recommended for more advanced tricks (i.e. tank top and sports bra). NO HEELS. While most studios allow heels as optional, we believe that heels prevent proper technique and create added liability.
Silks/Lyra/Aerial Yoga - NO ZIPPERS OR VELCRO. Form fitting clothing is recommended and leg coverage such as spandex leggings to prevent burns.
Is There An Age Limit?
You must be 18+ to take class, however we will consider younger students on a case by case basis with an adult's signature. If you are under 18 you may be able to take privates. On the opposite side of the spectrum, we've taught ladies in their 60's! We now have a program for kids ranging ages 6-14 years old.
How Long Are Your Classes?
All classes are 60 minutes.
I Don't Think I'm Strong Enough To Take Aerial Class...
You are taking class because you don't know how to do it yet! Just like a fitness class, you will build strength over time and become strong from doing it. While lifting weights and other exercises may help you progress faster, lifting your own body weight in class will provide a great path for you to build the strength needed to do aerial. Even if you can't do any of the moves, just by giving your best effort and failing you will still be building your strength to achieve those beautiful tricks in the air!
I've Never Done Aerial I Have No Idea What I'm Doing!
